𝗘𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, el pequeño y apartado pueblo de Safe Haven, Maine, se encuentra en plena fase de repoblación, intentando recuperar el brillo perdido tras La Explosión, un evento misterioso que diezmó a sus habitantes hace veinticinco años. Nuevos residentes llegan atraídos por la promesa de un entorno próspero y pacífico, pero pronto descubren que las cicatrices de aquel trágico episodio siguen muy presentes. Extrañas desapariciones y rumores sobre investigaciones clandestinas comienzan a circular, y algunos habitantes mencionan síntomas de una extraña enfermedad que no se menciona en ningún informe oficial. Mientras el ambiente de tensión crece, se siente que algo más profundo y oscuro está a punto de desatarse… algo que podría cambiar el destino del pueblo para siempre.
