You know what? Fuck it. Give Swerve a fucking three year run with the title. Have him brush back EVERYONE. Okada. Omega. Darby, Jericho, Wardlow, Rush, Eddie, Claudio, Cole, Kyle, Roderick, Perry, Moxley, Hangman, Copeland, MJF, Malakai, Hologram. Hell, put him in an intergender match and have Willow or Hayter force him to a draw. Make him one half of the tag champs. Let him end Jeff Jarrett’s career when he’s ready to retire. Don’t even let anyone sneak in a Dusty reign. Then after beating Roman Reign’s record, he drops it to Cassidy.

Face it, after a three year run as violent and brutal as Swerve’s would likely be, they’ll definitely need a very different champion after that.

when pro wrestling said i don’t get to choose the pain the world gives me but i can choose this and i can choose to keep someone safe as we tell that story together. when pro wrestling said the stupid shit you love can be the most important part of your story. when pro wrestling said we are sexy we are hot no matter what our bodies are. when pro wrestling said we can flip and fly when we’re young and yes our bodies take the damage and yes there’s only so many bumps you can take but look a decade later is a decade’s worth of story and suddenly the stupid shit you said again and again, people are saying, say it again, do it like that, a little to the left, it doesn’t matter if you don’t fly like that all the time because when you do it matters so much; and it matters that you’re safe, it matters that you’re here, still.

of course it’s real to me damnit it’s the most real goddamn thing there is.
