Awkward for Cassian to be with someone who literally slept with all of Velaris. Can they even walk down the street? Nesta is an emotionally abusive character. So done with Nesta worship.

but if a male character slept with every woman then he is considered “manly” enough, he is the “alpha” and the “Cassanova” in the novel right? 

when it was revealed that during Rhysand, Azriel, and Cassian’s younger years, they would sleep with tons of fae in one room, some of you didn’t bat an eye but when a woman does it suddenly we are all transported to 16th and 17th-century puritanism.

a person's sexual activity, regardless of their gender, should not be the basis of how we should treat them, let’s start with that.

some people like to treat Cassian as if he just came out of his mother’s womb and doesn’t know a thing or two about life, might I remind you that he is a 500+ old fae and a GENERAL at that, in no way is his hands clean.

keep the energy you have with Nesta’s actions to those questionable things the other characters did in the series as well and then maybe we will talk until then get your selective criticism out of my way.

Nesta stole the might of the Cauldron out of wrath at what it did to one sister and returned it in love for the other.

Shoutout to Nesta and Cassian for both having an iconic signature hairstyle so that every piece of fan art is immediately recognizable as being them from a mile away.

How can you read this

“I know the circumstances for your coming here were awful, Nesta, but it doesn’t mean you need to be so miserable about it.”

and this

“I wasn’t drinking myself to oblivion and—and doing those other things.”

and this

“Feyre warned me this might happen.”

and not be angry? not feel the betrayal that nesta feels in these moments? not dislike elain, even for these few pages, and recognize that she doesn’t afford nesta the same respect that nesta gave her when elain was essentially catatonic?

I love that SJM kept Nesta rather modest in her style and confident in her attitude. She's a little uncomfortable in her leathers at first and feels so exposed with the shape if her body on display in public, she doesn't want to wear the less is more kind of dress and she's not interested in jewels. She doesn't care being sweaty and ruffled at Starfall when everyone is dressed up in all their glamour, she's just happy to feel and to be alive.

I love that she doesn't need that stuff and she's STILL "devastatingly beautiful." She often makes Cassian look like he's been punched in the gut, she takes his breath away and has been about to fall to his knees before her, she's just that beautiful even/especially when in her feirceness. Even red puffy eyed and emotionally raw on that lake, she was the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen.

I love that she is just quietly comfortable in her beauty and then utterly unleashes herself and that beauty when she fights, unleashes her confidence and is utterly seductive when she fucks and when she dances.

She's just so feirce on so many levels and it's not overly shoved down your throat like with other characters and their confidence.

I love that she's not rattled at all when people excel at things around her. Gwyn for instance, Nesta thinks of how she only ever wants to shout about how amazing her friend is. etc. That is such amazing energy right there.

And I LOVE that only Cassian has seen her hair unbound. It's like it's something so utterly intimate between them. And him seeing it for the first time was brilliant!

Cassian and Nesta were utterly and completey love at first sight, not just beause of the mating bond, because mating bond does not equal love at first sight. It was because they instantly saw so deeply into each other's souls and that was it.

And I LOVE how their own fears and insecurities, how the "ugliest" parts of themselves reared their heads and clashed them together because they were afraid of how immediately intense that love was and they were terrified they were not worthy of the other.

They fought each other and against it their love for so long. They saw the darkest parts of each other, more Cassian than Nesta, since she had more trauma to work through... And even when they didn't truly understand, they still had an element of unspoken understanding, they each others backs.

How Cassian loved her for her sharpness and bravery and boldness and fierceness and loyalty. Her immense potentional to love so deeply and to fight with everything she had for them.

How Nesta couldn't not love him for everything he was and did, even when she didn't want to. She hated herself so much she once thought she was so completely unworthy of him she destroyed herself, punished herself for so long until he finally succeeded in finding her in her own darkness and kept reaching out his hand to help her find herself.

And then they grew and healed together and learned old and new intricate details and understood why it truly was love at first sight between them. They had never fallen out of love, only fallen into dispare and to place of no hope.

So as they healed and opened their hearts, they found eachother again and fell deeper and deeper into that love with their eyes wide open and they continued choose each other and to fight for that love and happiness together.

What a love story... 💖💖💖💖

I really enjoyed that they still challenge and argue and love. They have so much room to keep learning and growing together and I'm so relieved their story does not feel anywhere near over and it's only just begun.

For me, Feysand felt "too perfect" almost like they walked on eggshells at some points, Rhys afraid of showing his panic and fear whenever she was gone or potentially in danger, Feyre not able to truly stay mad at him long enough to fix his attitude approach to Nesta or other bad desicions he's made. They idealised each other so much they didn't really see fault and truly seem to grow together in that sense, just quick auto correct and everything was perfect again.

I just can't wait to see what else is in store for Nessian.
