A Little About A Cosplayer
 Every cosplayer has their quirks.
I wanted to share my quirks with the public and bring a little attention to how cosplay truly works rather than the mainstream sexy and revealing cosplay you can find online.
To those that know very little about cosplay:
Cosplay is the practice of dressing up as a character from a movie, book, or video game, especially one from the Japanese genres of manga and anime.
And many cosplayers tend to make and spend a lot of time putting their costumes together.
It is time and money consuming, but do you know why we do it?
We love it. And we make friends by doing it.
As I said before, every cosplayer has their quirks though. It can be from looking as cannon as possible or simply making every character look sexy.
As for my quirks, I have to look as close to the character as possible and while I’m dressed in cosplay, I prefer to take on the pronouns of that character. I am cisgender female. However, when I’m cosplaying Jean Kirstein from Attack on Titan or Snake from Black Butler: Book of Circus, I like to be referred to as male.
And I believe it’s because I do what I can to bring the character to life.
It’s stuff like this that doesn’t get talked about in the cosplay community that I wanted to bring attention to.
I have met cosplayers at cons that act like the character and take on their weird habits while they wear that costume. And it’s simply amazing.
So, I want those of you cosplayers that may be reading this to comment a few of your own quirks and make it known how hard you work to achieve your cosplay identity.
