EPrep week 2-4

This week I furthered expanded on the subject of microplastics attempting to narrow down the subject. The hardest part is forming a question with this topic that is researchable but isn’t a simple yes or no answer. A possibly valid solution would be talking about peoples awareness and how aware they are and how much they care even if they are aware of things like microplastics or pesticides in foods. So far I only have one source that I don’t believe I will use but now that I know what I may want to research it will be much easier to gather sources. Next week I hope to finish wording out a research question and get at least 8 sources.

EPrep week 1

This week I was introduced to how the AP Research class would go and how the test works, which is a research paper and a presentation. For the research paper we brainstormed ideas and some good ones that came up were ones about sensitivity in the classroom, bees, and other controversial subjects. After looking at numerous articles I found one about water filters and asked the question “how effective are commercial water filters at filtering out potentially harmful microscopic materials.” I think this isn’t a very insightful question but I have ideas on topics. Next week I should get a rough draft of my research question.
