You try to show your friends
how good of a parent you are
look look, I bought her a new phone
look look, I went to her soccer game
look look, how she appreciates none of it!
What a terrible daughter they say,
how ungrateful.
Just a stubborn brat, they say.
But do you tell them mother
how you...

Treat others the way you'd want to be treated. If you've been treated like crap throughout your life, don't treat others that way because you know how it made you feel. Don't wish that on anyone else.

CHILD ABUSE IS NEVER OKAY
Share our story!! & lift us with prayers as we will never stop fighting for this beautiful child of ours, whom deserves nothing but the best. We have never really shared our story, but recent events have encouraged us to share our side, and share the struggles our baby girl still has to go through! As a parent the thought of your child being put back into a place where she has already been harmed is absolutely terrifying! We have the right to fight for the right to keep our daughter safe. Though Elizabeth’s scars have healed on the outside she will forever be mentally and emotionally scarred from the abuse! She has suffered enough! Elizabeth never got the justice she deserved, no one was ever punished for this, nor do i think they ever will be, but i can make sure the world never forgets what happened! I’m not posting this to bash anyone, just to share our story! Nor do we want to keep Elizabeth from seeing her “mother”, though she did what she did, or allowed it to be done to her, she did give birth to her, and if she hadn’t i wouldn’t of had the pleasure of raising such an amazing child so for that an only that i am thankful. Some may feel she has no right to see her, and that may be true, but Elizabeth know’s her as her friend, so as hard as it may be i’m trying to remain neutral, because Elizabeth’s best interests are what i care about no matter how i may feel, my child is what i’m worried about. So all we are worried about is that things stay how they are, we do supervised visits, so that we can make sure Elizabeth is safe from anyone who could harm her or allow her to be harmed. We have the right as her parents to keep her safe! I pray some day her nightmares go away, but for now i will continue to comfort her on those nights she wakes up in tears an pouring sweat, until she is peacefully back asleep dreaming of rainbows, butterflies & things children should be dreaming of. Some may read this and think how can you call her your child, you didn’t give birth to her? An for those yes you are correct, some people cannot have children and have surrogates deliver their babies , does that makes them any less of a parent? No! I have raised her, loved her unconditionally, & will continue to raise her and continue to give her my unconditional love! Mama loves you Elizabeth and again this is only intended to share our story not to bash anyone!
