Save Pineville 3-Stage
Admin: InuYasha Fans, I have something off-topic and probably strange to bring up. But, our history is at stake here. Most of you know that I currently live in California. I actually was born here. Growing up I also participated a lot in the Chuck E Cheese locations. Recently it was announced by the company that the Northridge location in Los Angeles would be keeping their animatronics. This is a huge step forward to keeping our history. As Chuck E Cheese locations have been removing animatronics due to cost and maintence to replace them with 2.0 remodels for a dance floor without animatronics. Northridge was saved for a special case because fans like us. Time is ticking and one of the most known and unique locations within the United States - Pineville, North Carolina Chuck E Cheese is dated for a remodel and right now we're fighting to keep these animatronics. What makes this location so special? This location has the original rockafire explosion underskeletons when the two companies combined into one through concept unification created by Creative Engineering who inspired Five Nights at Freddys. Not only that but the tech has put a lot of love into maintaining these. He even created his own "Munch Jr" which is exclusive to this area only. Since the West side saved one show, we need to save one for the east side. So I'm asking you if you can please take the time to SIGN this petition and share it - use this tag. #savepineville3stage

So I went to read the Kids Online Safety Act, thinking that it couldn't possibly be as bad as what people are making it out to be, I mean I'm a lawyer and expert in statutory interpretation, it can't be that bad, right?
Oh no. KOSA IS that bad. It will literally eradicate queer people online.
The bill says that a "covered platform" - broadly defined as "anything on the internet a minor might use" which is literally the entire fucking internet- has a "duty" to protect minors from anything that might harm them, including "sexual exploitation" and other undefined terms
It also gives state attorneys general the ability to sue to enforce it.
So here's exactly what's gonna happen:
Wacko republicans, as they've been doing with increasing force this year and last, are going to sue any and every website in existence, saying that the mere existence of LGBT people online constitutes sexual abuse of minors. And websites are gonna be so afraid of not doing the most that they'll just axe all LGBT everything.
Like. Republicans have been calling all LGBT people groomers and child molesters for years. The lead Republican literally admitted this bill will be used to attack trans people.
This bill is BAD bad. I'm appalled that democrats are lining up behind what is clearly a republican Trojan horse to eradicate LGBT people from the entire internet.

This new feature with Barbara Gordon shows that she and Dick will be together in the present day in S3 of Titans :( (Don’t watch the promo if that’s something you don’t want to see, trust me).
So disappointing as a Dickkory shipper. While I like Barbara’s character so far, this is the Titans - she shouldn’t even be in the show. Honestly, I think there’s some racism happening behind the scenes here; they have no problem developing White-White pairings explicitly, yet the main Teen Titans couple from the comics, an interracial pairing, is relegated to glances and one intimate scene in S1. It seems like they don’t want to offend racist white guys by showing Dickkory, so they’ve promised us their endgame, but it’s near the end of the show with almost 0 development.

Okay, so I think we all know that InuYasha is always barefoot, right? I just imagine that the first time he wears shoes, it just looks like a dog wearing booties when he walks around in them. He raises his legs too high and looks like he's waddling around going "Dammit! Are these things cursed or something!?"

Poor Lois. How she suffered so! I often wonder how many alternate timelines do you destroy the world because, frankly, you don’t have the cojones to die yourself. Hmm?

Do you ever just stop and think about that photoset for the “Five Doctors” where Tom Baker was not present so they decided to pose his wax figure instead like it was a completely normal thing to do?

In many cultures, ethnic groups, and nations around the world, hair is considered a source of power and prestige. African people brought these traditions and beliefs to the Americas and passed them down through the generations.
In my mother’s family (Black Americans from rural South Carolina) the women don’t cut their hair off unless absolutely necessary (i.e damage or routine trimming). Long hair is considered a symbol of beauty and power; my mother often told me that our hair holds our strength and power. Though my mother’s family has been American born for several generations, it is fascinating to see the beliefs and traditions of our African ancestors passed down. We are emotionally and spiritually attached to our hair, cutting it only with the knowledge that we are starting completely clean and removing stagnant energy.
Couple this with the forced removal and covering of our hair from the times of slavery and onward, and you can see why so many Black women and men alike take such pride and care in their natural hair and love to adorn our heads with wigs, weaves, braids, twists, accessories, and sharp designs.
Hair is not just hair in African diaspora cultures, and this is why the appropriation and stigma surrounding our hair is so harmful.
