Do you ever get taunted by the memory you can not recollect? There's a knowledge that something happened, you know something happened but you can't remember it with any clarity. what's in your mind is not a memory it's an image your brain constructed to support the knowledge.

when i was a child, maybe 6th grade or younger i went to a funeral of my classmates father, he wasn't my friend he could've been my bully, i sat in the tent at the table and ate rice, and i cried.

i didn't cry because i was mourning death, i couldn't have cared, all my family members were alive at the time so it wasn't that.

i cried because of a thought i had in my head, the thought that i will not cry or be sad on my own families funeral, that thought upset me, it made me cry.

it's been a while since then, some of my family members have died, and i didn't cry.
