A Dog Will

No one will love you like a dog will

No one will shake their butt until they almost snap in half

Just because they’re so excited to see you

But a dog will

No one will lay at the window all day

Looking for your car to come home

Or curl in a ball behind your butt

Because for some reason you haven’t gotten up today

It’s mad fucked up how agricultural research is done by academic research scientists that are “experts” in their field because of the “research” they’ve done studying, while the farmers who actually work in agriculture every day are looked down upon and considered not as smart. Anyone can read a paper, but not everyone can manage a farm/ranch successfully.

Scientists value is measured by the quantity/quality of their papers, but the farmers are actually out there in the literal field every day. The farmers aren’t writing the papers, even though they know the most.

Father of the year. 

His daughter, Malala Yousafzai, accepted the Nobel Peace Prize today. She won the prize for her work as an activist fighting for the right to education in parts of the world where it’s often denied (especially to girls).

In her acceptance speech, she said: 

It is for those forgotten children who want education. It is for those frightened children who want peace. It is for those voiceless children who want change. 

I am here to stand up for their rights, raise their voice. It is not time to pity them. It is time to take action so it becomes the last time that we see a child deprived of education.
