I was on the road and driving most of yesterday which leaves me feeling grumpy and jittery so I needed to do something to ground me. So I decided to play a little bit in the kitchen get some hot sauce started. This 10 minutes of playtime has brought me back home and got me ready for the rest of my day. Where do you play?

Belonging
Just finished “Everything I Never Told You” by Celeste Ng and pondering that we are seeking to live our own, true story AND be seen, accepted... even celebrated.  And what happens when we can’t/aren’t.  I want to do better at seeing you and celebrating you.

This legitimately needs to be in future literature textbooks to capture the Covid-19 Pandemic.

A participant in one of my programs gifted us with this gem: "When we are hardened, we are breakable." Thank you Jyoti.
Lean in with curiosity and be open to surprises.
And be gentle with those who are hardened as they may break, not bend.

The world hasn't become more uncertain. We are seeing the uncertainty that has always been there but our systems that 'protected' us from it are being revealed for the fragility they always held.

And how.  Do you have their permission> it is important for us to release and to be witnessed but ‘dumping out’ on someone who isn’t ready or able or doesn’t know that is even what you are doing can be harmful to you both and your relationship.

Quote
When I first met her, I knew in a moment I would have to spend the next few days re-arranging my mind so there’d be room for her to stay.

This quote made me think of my closest loves, friends, and teachers.  Those people that you shift around for so that they can be a part of and shape your life more profoundly.

This has me thinking and reflecting on the ‘advice’ I have tried to pass along the past few days.  There is truth in this for me, how about you?
It's one of my theories that when people give you advice, they're really just talking to themselves in the past.

Watching the water flow under the thin ice and seeing the air bubble move and connect felt like the metaphor I have been living with the last weeks.  A pause due to COVID 19 and a late spring that has had us inside and together more than usual - - which has allowed for movement and shift to happen.  Can literally feel the ice thinning and new waiting to come forth - and with it some mud we need to work through... but a promise of greener times and hopes of rebirth.
