If it’s not too personal, why don’t you talk to them anymore? Did it have to do with becoming a plumber or was it something else entirely?

It's related to wanting to become a Plumber. They aren't exactly transparent in their reasonings, and most of our arguments about it consisted of "because I say," which honestly is SO out of character for both of them.

My Dad apparently had some drama with Grandpa and Grandma being less than present for a large part of their childhood. I don't know exactly why he's opposed to ME becoming a plumber but I guess that has something to do with it.

My mom's reasoning is less clear. My best guess is that she just doesn't want me to pick a dangerous career, or maybe it's the idea of me living in space.

It escalated to us not talking when my dad forbid me from seeing my Grandpa. Since I was about to turn 18 it wouldn't have mattered, but his attitude was so uncharicaristically extreme and I had no idea why

Not to mention, I was livid. It's all kind of a blur, but I left knowing that I'd said some things I might regret. That was 3 months ago, and I've been living with Grandpa ever since.

I kinda want to go see them before I leave. I do miss them...

Hey buddy, Word of advice. If a guy named Micheal Morningstar tries to ask you or Gwen out for coffee, run away. Run very far away. He's a mana sucking parasite, and it will end very badly if he gets close to you or Gwen

Grandpa's alluded before that I'm not the only "Plumber's kid" interested in becoming a proper Plumber. I'm sure I'm gonna eventually run into a few.

And which bad ben? There were tons of them when I was attacked! The one with black hair, the aussie, the emo, the weird little albino kid ben that talked like he was pretending to be smart, the zombie.... I could go on.

The one with black hair was actually pretty mean. He was the first other ben I came into contact with. All I know about him is that he's evil.

There's been another delay I'm sorry to announce BUT I'm still releasing something tomorrow. Essentially right after posting the first delay I caught covid, no idea where from, and was only able to work on it bits at a time. While I have chapter 1 sketched out and the dialogue written up, it's far from complete. With that said, I'm going to release the chapter page by page, staggering it as I work on it. Full chapters will be uploaded to Tapas once complete. I'll provide links.

I would put in an 8 hour push to get it done if I could, but Uni has started and everything is on fire, as expected. Given how things are going, 1 page uploads might be how this comic progresses until winter break.

Well, there is one benefit to not having an Omnitrix. You never have to watch as your cousin was almost eaten by a feral Wildvine while trying to protect you, or watching your grandpa seemingly blow himself up with a Null Void grenade to stop an alien invasion like Prime did. Basically your life might have been boring but at least you and your loved ones were safe.

That does sound like it might be a mood killer. Still, I might see some things in the future. Just a few weeks until I leave for the Academy.

Yeah of course I would!! That's the life I'm chasing. Prime ben inspired me to be a hero, and the omnitrix has helped him do that more effectively for most of his life. I'd like to think it would do the same for me.

Actually yeah. His name is on the list of cadets I'll be departing for the Academy with next month. I know nothing about him though. I guess I'll look forward to meeting him!
