I went through the Lucy tag to learn more about her and saw something about a boyfriend shown once and he wasn’t mentioned again. Did he try to help her at all when she got attacked?

Lucy: I hadn’t met him yet.

Lucy: Also he just hasn’t shown his face here in a while. A lot of people here haven’t. We’ve all been busy!

You don’t have to guess, sugar. It’s Boris fault Cuddle is like this. He made Cuddle feel rejected, unloved and as you have deemed this situation, HOPELESS.

“I’m sick and tired of all of you!! Boris this- Boris that- None of you are telling me what he even did! Whatever it was Boris was likely a tipping point, not the entire problem you dickweeds! Cuddle…. Cuddle has been struggling for a while now, ok? That’s why he hasn’t been on here or answering things. He didn’t want you guys to see how bad he was. Cuddle confided in me his fears, about losing his friends. Despite my encouragement he never spoke to them and it built up. Whatever Boris did DID NOT cause all of this. Maybe sent him over the edge but I don’t think Boris this that kind of person. Cuddle adores his friends- he was afraid of being clingy so he didn’t speak up. If I had known this was about to happen I would’ve called everyone sooner.”

“And to clarify that misconception, Hopeless forms are more than being hopeless. They’re an amplification of bad behaviors. Cuddle for example avoids a problem and doesn’t want to face it. So he patrols for friends and protects them in a cocoon. My own Hopeless is one of rage and hostility, covering pain and pushing it away until it doesn’t exist. They range from person to person, the only common thread is a lack of hope in something or someone. It isn’t the only feeling that makes a Hopeless.”
