katsuki didn't expect to be here today.
with you, a gorgeous woman at that, laid in his arms. found passed out in the meadows, a flower bed beneath the two of you. time still, wind blowing through your bodies as you rested.
he had been out hunting, blowing off smoke. annoyed at his current situation of being forced to marry a woman he didn't know, one who'd likely never love him. one he knew he'd never love.
a life of loveless marriage, one he was raised under, scared him more than he'd pray tell.
he'd rushed out quickly, barging through the servants, the large doors, and his grand estate. only his bow and sword on him as he trekked through. familiar lands enveloped him, but the sight of you didn't. more importantly, the sight of you, who had started falling.
he was moving before he realized, catching you in muscled arms, the sad crunches of ruined flowers beneath him. though none compared to the sight of the one he held now.
his bow and sword discarded, hands moving out of instinct to wipe the tears off of your face. it was clear you weren't supposed to be out here, your dress one of a high noble, silks too expensive for a common folk to afford. a satchel.. one that bore an emblem that seemed all too familiar. thoug it didn't take his full attention. his body seemed all to keen to focus on you, his chest sought to match your breaths, hearts beating in tandem.
you awoke just a few moments later, eyes wide at the sight of him. he settled you next to him, as you spoke to him. "thank you, i don't know what came over me." you spoke gently, a tone of unconfidence as you looked down at your hands. a ring on your finger.
though it looked unfit on you.
"i understand." he replied gruffly, picking up his weapons behind him, hands feeling antsy to be occupied at the sight of the gorgeous stranger in front of him. "bad feelings 've been in the air lately, it seems."
you looked up at him finally, allowing him to get a clear view of your face. with eyes puffy, lips swollen and bitten, and cheeks red. he fought off a smile, this wasn't the time to be thinking of how cute you looked.
you let out a sigh of sorrow. "it's been getting to all of the heirs of age, it seems."
he held you for a minute longer, hands grasped together tightly, wordless comfort based of mutual understanding given. neither of you said anything, but you both felt like you needed it. he knew it in the way you didn't want to let him go. and you knew it in the way he didn't. it was hard for him to pull away, but he knew he had to.
after a beat, he stood up. lowering a hand to you. "no sense in worrying about the inevitable," you smiled slightly and took his hand. "right."
he looked at the sun, it was slowly falling, prime hunting time. "you should head back to wherever you came, it'll be night soon." you nodded, and brought a bag up from the floor, you opened it, and a bracelet was in your palms.
you handed it to him, the red ruby of the beads matching his eyes as they shinned in the sun. "take this, please."
he was taken aback, seemingly unaware of why you would do this for him. he tried pushing your hand away, but it was unrelenting. a stubborn look in your eyes and he rolled his, sliding it onto his wrist.
he moved to leave, when you grabbed your wrist. it was out of impulse, he felt the internal panic in your stance, your mouth hung open slightly, though no words escaping. finally though, you manage a weak, "your name?"
for the first time since his arrangement, he laughed. laughed at the simplicity of the gesture, at your expression, at his situation.
with a boyish smile, he rested your hand at your side, touch lingering for a second too long. "call me katsuki."
he turned to leave, feet feeling a little more heavy now, knowing he was walking away from you. someone he seemed to get along with so easily.
you yelled your name after him, the crunches of the grass underneath your shoes fading away too. you were gone now.
he looked back at you, feeling the beads of the bracelet under nimble fingers, before squeezing it in his palm.
the hunting went poorly, he was too distracted to aim. the night went painstakingly fast, the arrival of the family, his wife, the agenda for the day.
uncomfortable traditional clothes felt even heavier now, the chains of being binded to someone he didn't know being heavier than any chain he could break physically.
his head that was slumped on the table was now forced up, his mother kicking him in the foot to remind him to at least try and be polite. he sighed, a feeling of dread hanging over him as the footsteps neared.
each one was sealing his fate, the door click the nail in the coffin.
but all his negativity vanished, all poor thoughts ceasing at the sight of you. your eyes were just as wide as his, your hand over your face in shock. the entourage beside you confused at your expression.
"madam?"
"katsuki?" you whispered under your breath.
though he managed to hear you. how could he not when you demanded his attention so seamlessly?
but now it was his turn to be speechless. speechless at the prospect of your rank, of your arrival,
and at the realization that he'd be married to you.

is it over now? ⭑𓂃 katsuki bakugou thoughts
thinking of finding out about his affair through his fame.
he, for some reason, thinks you won’t see the flashing lights of his crime. he doesn’t even have the decency to keep those nights out of sight. how suddenly you’d sleep alone, with him off on some business trip- or at least, he’d say.
you see his smile, his gorgeous profile and those damn red eyes everywhere. on your phone, on the news, in your head at night. you feel guilty for being suspicious, even when they’re confirmed by the photos and the gossip. is it over then?
you call him a lying traitor, and now he dreams of that every night. he’d search in every models bed for someone greater, someone like you. but they don’t exist. he’ll say someone else down on his couch. someone else’s hands will unbutton your dress. you’re with other people. is it over then?
rumours about your hips and thighs, his hands and his heart, the space between your lips right before a kiss- everyone had speculations about pro-hero bakugou and the person he couldn’t stay faithful to. the media has a field day with it, pointing out the blood on snow and making sure none of it stays with you. is it over then?
she looks like you, even if its just vaguely. shes got your eyes, like he found the first person who had the same genes as you and called it a day. the more you look at her, shes your clone. maybe not in looks, but in how he holds her hands and kisses her cheek. on the outside, he’s moved on. is it over then?
and now, he thinks of coming back to you. of running to you when you’re just about to jump, and telling you the one thing you need to hear, and the one thing he needs to say. but no. you’re hoping he’d be there, and he’s hoping he’s had the courage too. but he can’t. its over.

pro-hero!bakugou is so busy, as expected since he's a hero after all. a great one at that. he avoids relationships, because he's aware about how he cant properly manage his time. he wont go around giving hopes to people, he is a straight forward man.
but fuck, when he sees you in some movie premiere which his friend acts in, he really wants to try commit a relationship with you.
you're a journalist, he noticed from the mic you held and the logo around it. ah, you work for a big entertainment media or magazine? he's not sure. your body language shows that you're confident, he likes that.
he didn't even realize when you start talking to him.
“mr. dynamight, im (name) (last name) from vogue. can we ask you questions regarding the movie?” you asked politely.
“tch, dont make me wait too long.” he said, keeping the nonchalant act.
you gestures to your cameraman partner to get ready. once the camera is ready, you start to introduce yourself and him. he watches you with a small smirk, clearly enjoying this.
“dynamight, we hear that you're not a big fan of romcom movies, is that true? does this movie change your perspective of romcom movies?”
“yes.”
you furrowed your brows, confused.
“okay... moving on, who's the first one that comes to your mind when you hear 'queen or king of romcom'?”
“julia roberts. i think.” there's a questionable pause.
“i love her too! especially in notting hill. i watched notting hill when i was 14 and since then library date is my dream date.” you rambles, all giggly and smiley.
“have you been to one?”
“hm? im sorry?”
“the library date, i can take you. if you want to i guess.” his tone isn't exactly friendly but his reddened cheeks makes you realize that he doesn't mean it the mean way.
“id love to, y- yes— oh my god.” you stutter.
“i have to have your number then.”
since you don't carry your business card and there's only a pen, bakugou let you write your number on his arm.
“good, call you later, dollface.” within a blink he's gone.
your flabbergasted face is the only thing you could muster.
“is the camera still on?”
“its live.”

Sunshine
Jealous AU | It wasn't often you spoke to those outside your class. So imagine his shock when he saw you speaking to a random extra in the hallway. A short oneshot of jealous bakugo and an oblivious girl who is unaware of a lot of things… including their romance.
᧔o᧓ || Katsuki Bakugo x f!reader, no manga spoilers, no nsfw, pure fluff, minor jealous bkg but not toxic, aged up to third years, dense reader, mutual feelings, bkg pov, implied short reader, oneshot, bkg is mature and a softie, open ending, 1.1k word count
He had to do a double take to make sure he wasn't mistaking something.
His red eyes are practically boring into the student's back – who had the guts to approach you.
A random extra from another course, a guy he's never seen before. So why the hell are you talking to him?
As much as he tried, he couldn't look away from the sight. Who knows what they might pull on you. Bakugo can tell by the way the idiot looks at her, that the guy is clearly interested.
That pissed him off.
And what pissed him off even more is that she's completely oblivious of it.
The girl didn't know how beautiful she was. How blinding her smile was when she saw something she liked.
How blinding her smile was when she looked at him.
If only she recognized the significance of her own feelings.
Bakugo could tell she liked him more than a friend should. Yet the dense idiot didn't know how she felt herself.
He knew she unknowingly developed feelings for him as they started their third year. For someone as perceptive as him, it was easy to notice the clues.
She clings to him despite his rough demeanor. And easily laughs whenever he grumbles a snarky comment under his breath. Always following him around both in and out of class.
At first he didn't know what to do. He wasn't one to even think about romance. But her constant proximity threw the blonde off.
Slowly as time went on, he found himself expecting to see her by his side. Feeling a bit uneasy on those rare days they didn't spend much time together. By the time they were halfway into their last year at UA, that's when he knew.
He liked her too. As more than a friend.
For the first time in his life, Katsuki Bakugo yearned for romance. Yet only with her.
The realization only made him more agitated. Him growing soft for a girl? How ridiculous.
✦ ⎯⎯ㅤִㅤ୭ ୨♡୧ ৎㅤִ ⎯⎯ ✦
He was pulled out of his thoughts a few seconds later. The reason?
The sight of the other guy lifting his hand and picking a piece of lint out of her hair. Not a second later, taking the opportunity to ruffle her hair playfully.
That's what had him speed walking over there with purpose, “Oi Y/N!”
Her head quickly turns around at the familiar sound of his voice, “Ah Bakugo! Good Morning!” she says with a bright smile, completely forgetting about the other presence behind her.
That response alone, almost made his stoic expression morph into a cocky grin. Almost.
He grumbles in acknowledgment as he stands by her side, looking back and forth between her and the extra close by. A silent question directed towards Y/N. To which she seems to figure out immediately.
“Oh this is Kai from the support course. He had some ideas for potential support gadgets I could use to regulate my quirk!”
Support course huh.
Bakugo simply stares at the other guy, a calm yet serious expression displayed across his face. He makes no move to greet this supposed ‘kai’ or even initiate small talk.
A moment of silence passes between the three of them.
Kai smiles awkwardly in Bakugos direction, a visible indication of how uncomfortable he is. “Erm- well I should be heading to class now. See you around Y/N” he says but then quickly leaves as he makes eye contact with Bakugo.
Meanwhile the blonde's ego skyrocketed from his success of driving the coward away. His shoulders slightly relax from the defensive stance he wasn't even aware he was doing.
“Huh? What was that about?” she says looking back at Bakugo with a curious expression. Tilting her head to show her confusion.
“Tch how the hell should I know. Now hurry up. We gotta head to class” he says, turning around and starting to walk in the direction of their classroom. He doesn't need to look back to know she's already shutting her locker.
“Or do you want to be late?” he says, loud enough for her to hear.
“Ah, I'm going. Wait up!” she says while proceeding to run to catch up. Slowing down when she reaches his side and adjusting her bag that's draped over her shoulder.
He occasionally glances at her as she starts babbling about random topics. Though he's not really paying attention to her words. He’s eyeing the side of her head, the specific spot where the other extra touched her.
Bakugo doesn't know how to feel.
He's confident in her feelings for him. Confident in his own abilities.
Yet being a boyfriend… is something he can't comprehend. What exactly makes a good partner? Empathy? Kindness? Vulnerability?
None of those reside with him.
He ponders for a moment and takes a look at her cheerful expression. Full of bright joy that could rival the sun.
His feelings only seem to grow more by the second.
Without much thought he lifts his hand and gently pats her head. She pauses her endless chatter and hums in acknowledgement, “hm?”
“Your hair is all messed up from before” he grumbles while fixing the random strands of hair by patting them down in place.
They both halt in the middle of the hallway as she lets him finish. Giggling at the soft sensation of his hand. He raises a brow at her sudden outburst.
“What's so funny, idiot?” he huffs out and pinches her puffy cheek, unable to resist.
“It tickles! Plus your hand is really warm. Agh- hey!” she whines slightly at his sudden actions. Trying to pry his hands away and retaliate. Only causing his body to tingle at the contact.
ﮩ٨ـﮩﮩ٨ـ♡ﮩ٨ـﮩﮩ٨ـ
He likes her. A lot.
“When are you gonna realize huh” he mumbles to himself. Showing pity and letting go of her face.
“Huh sorry what was that?” she says smiling while rubbing her sore cheek.
“Nothing nerd. Cmon pick up the pace, you're slow as hell” he rolls his eyes and continues walking to class, not waiting for her yet again.
“Not my fault I have small legs!” she yells out and jogs after him, already falling behind.
She can't see it but his lips slightly curve up at her words. What an idiot.
A few minutes before the bell, they make it to their classroom. Bakugo ignores his classmates as usual and makes a beeline to his seat. Sitting down and taking out his notebook.
He can already hear Y/N chattering away in the background with some of their friends. Yet a few seconds later she's already at his desk to blab on about something else.
Some of their friends come over as well to join in on the conversation.
But his eyes never leave her.
He may not know all the aspects of how to be a good boyfriend but for her, he’ll try. When the time is right.
For now he could only wait for Y/N to figure out her own feelings. Which frankly might take awhile.
But Bakugo isn't worried.
Because he knows she'll follow him anywhere.
And so would he.

make confessions and we're begging for forgiveness
bakugo x fem!reader
summary: Bakugo didn't realize he rejected you back in UA.
Your flight just landed in back in Japan. Finally home after three years, booking a one way ticket to America and didn't look back. Coming out of baggage claim you hear a certain noise over all the bustle in the airport.
You spot your friends from U.A holding up signs, Izuku's decorated in glitter and Mina's saying "Welcome Home Traitor." They shout your name once they see you and you couldn't help but run to them. Dropping your bags as you pull them into your arms.
It felt nice to be back, not amount of texts and video calls could fill the void in your chest. You had other friends from the states that you hung out with but it wasn't the same without your best friends.
You guys caught up on the ride back to your new apartment, just down the block from Izuku's. Mina had the keys since you couldn't actually check it out from across the ocean.
She let you unlock and have the first steps into your place yourself. When you clicked on the lights, shouts of "welcome home" and "surprise" came from the rest of your friends. Next to them on your kitchen counter was a small cake and take out with confetti littering the space.
Surprised was an understatement, you didn't tell anyone other than Izuku and Mina but you should've known they would've blabbed to their partners and friends.
It was a funny sight seeing at there was no furniture in your whole apartment other than the appliances and what little your friends brought. Denki and Sero supplying the dishes and Ochaco and Kirishima bringing the food and drinks.
Nonetheless you couldn't be happier in this moment being home and surrounded by all the friends you missed.
Everyone stayed till midnight, until they had to go home for work the next day. Each of them promising to help you with moving in and hangout with you later.
You woke up to your phone blowing up with tags from last night, Mina having posted your little get together and everyone replying in the comments. It was a collage of the initial surprise then candid pics of everyone eating and just having fun.
You liked and commented to a few of them before getting ready for the day. The girls decided it would be good to shop right away for furniture and houseware.
They pulled up and started honking rushing you to get in, thank god it was mid day so all you neighbors were gone. You guys headed to Ikea and they helped choose some of the decor, one relating to each of them in some way.
All of you did small photoshoots with the plushies and fake home interiors, pretending like you lived there and Mina even recorded as you and Ochaco fake cooked together.
You all basically lived online so you hit post as soon as you got in the car. Usually your comments were the regular spam bots and both your friends from here and the states but looking through you had a new user who commented.
Bakugo.
You didn't even let your eyes read what he said before you hit the delete button. The comment went as fast as it came.
You hoped it was just a fluke and went back to focusing on the girls. Spending the rest of the time driving and blasting music hoping to keep your mind off him.
Bakugo glared at his phone as he waited for anything to show you responded to him. His whole timeline was posts of all his friends hanging out with you and a welcome home party he didn't even know again.
He furrowed his brows as he refreshed the post and seen his comment gone.
Looking through the others you replied fast to most of them so maybe you misclicked and accidentally deleted his. He commented again.
Gone.
It disappeared right in front of him.
Now he was getting irritated, why were you blatantly avoiding him. He couldn't call or text you because last time he tried it didn't go through.
So the next best thing was to harass Izuku. His irritation getting worse as he listened to the ringing, finally a confused "Hello?" came through.
"You wanna tell me why everyone but me was at the littler get together. We keeping secrets now or something!" Bakugo pressed. "Oh yeah... about that, we just didn't think you'd want to attend. With what happened between you guys and all." Izuku confessed. "
"The hell you talking about? What happened between us? She went abroad right after graduation and stopped contact with all of us." Now Bakugo was irritated and confused.
"No, we all still talked to her. We just didn't mention her up around you incase it made you feel uncomfortable." "Uncomfortable with what?! What are you going on about!" Bakugo shouted more confused than when he started this call.
"The situation at graduation, when you rejected her after she confessed to you." "What." "You do remember right, it was one of the reasons she moved so fast." Izuku said trying to help Bakugo recall the scene.
"She never confessed to me... I would have remembered especially if I turned her down. Which I never did by the way." Bakugo tried to say as he went through all the things that happened that day.
Looking back he remembered you pulled him aside as everyone cheered and rushed to meet up with their families. He saw your mouth mumble out something but with all the noise from everyone around him it was hard for him to hear. He looked at you with an annoyed expression and yelled "Hah?"
You looked down with a dejected smile and nodded as you wished him a good life and left through the crowd. He only saw you briefly after group photos and everyone hugging you as you got into your families car and left.
Thats when you lost all contact and moved away.
He could hear Izuku calling his name in the distance, "Are you still there?"
"I didn't know thats what she was saying." Bakugo mumbled into the phone still stunned by this new revelation.
"What was that?"
"I DIDNT KNOW!" He shouted stressed as he realized all these years, you thought he didn't like you back.

make confessions and we're begging for forgiveness, aftermath
part 1
bakugo x fem!reader
Bakugos first instinct was to get one of your friends to somehow get you to accept his texts.
Maybe somehow convince Kirishima to talk to Mina and have you meet up with him. Yeah this was a great idea.
Until he realized that everyone else also believed he unmercifully rejected you all other years ago. He was gonna somehow explain his side to them and show that he isn't the bad guy...sorta.
The easiest way was to mass text everyone "Emergency meet me at my place." The only time Bakugo texted first in the group chat was to either bully and degrade someone or ask about work.
So everyone was scrambling to get to his place when they received the message. He would just lounge around while he came up with his explanation.
Mina and Ochaco eruptly stood up as you all were watching a movie, and apologized as they mumbled something about having to go while they rushed to leave.
You sat there on your floor not even able to move an inch as both of your girls suddenly rushed out of you girls day.
Confused and speechless you resumed your movie, choosing not the question it.
The girls were last to arrive at Bakugos, the boys waiting around confused as Bakugo sat in his living room silently glaring at the floor.
The guys have been trying to get him to talk since they got there but he wouldn't budge just telling them to wait for everyone else before he went back to being mute.
Once everyone was accounted for Bakugo breathed in a deep sigh, looking at each of them.
"I didn't reject her."
The boys and girls looked at each other, confused at his statement. "Bakugo you good? Who didn't you reject?" Kirishima asked slowly stepping towards him like a scared animal.
"At graduation, I never rejected her." He said looking at each of them in the eyes.
The girls after just getting back from being with you were furious, thinking he was just saying this to save face or try to make amends since your back.
"Oh yeah?!? Say that to us after we hyped her up to finally say something to you! Only for you to throw it back in her face and we had to comfort her before she left!" Mina shouted getting more upset as she remembered the events.
"I'm not believing your bullshit after I had to witness the aftermath."
"Yeah Bakugo it's not cool to lie about that, especially now that she's back home." Kirishima said moving to comfort Mina.
"But I didn't! I didn't even know she confessed in the first place. I found out just now from Izuku when he told me why she broke contact!" Bakugo confessed his eyes shifting around hoping his friends believed him.
"Come on guys, I don't think he's lying. He sounded pretty confused when he called me and found out we all still talked to her." Izuku said trying to ease the tension.
"See even he's vouching for me!"
The group stayed silent for a minute, thinking over what was just revealed. Mina was still a little worked up but with the boys giving Bakugo the benefit of the doubt they all came to believe he was telling the truth.
"Well what are you gonna do now?"
"Yeah cuz I'm pretty sure she still hates your face." Denki piped up, getting smacked in the back of the head by Sero.
"I was hoping you guys could help me with that."
~~~
"Guys where are we going?" You giggled, eyes blind folded as someone guided you up a flight of stairs.
"It's a surprise! We promise you'll love it!" Squealed Ochaco.
Hearing a door open and your friends shuffle you somewhere, "are you ready?" "Suprise!" They shouted from behind you, removing your blindfold.
You were beaming ear to ear, excited for what your friends had in store for you. But that quickly died as you saw Bakugo Katsuki standing in the middle of your apartment.
A stoic expression as he held a bouquet of flowers.
You whipped around, lips starting to quiver as you stared at your so called friends.
"Is this some sick joke?" You asked, disbelief in your voice.
Your friends panicked, looking from you to Bakugo not knowing what to do.
You didn't notice over your betrayal but Bakugo came up behind you and softly gripped your shoulder.
"I made them do this, don't upset at them."
You froze as you felt his touch, slowly turning around. For the first time in two years you saw your old crush face to face. Taking in all his features, some scratches on his face that wasn't there before and a softness in his expression.
Your friends sneaking out while your attention wasn't on them. Hoping Bakugos plan goes well.
It seemed he was doing the same, admiring your new look, different from when you both went to UA. But he liked it nonetheless.
The air tense as he took a deep breath.
"I'm sorry."
What?
Did the Bakugo just apologize. You must've been hallucinating and this must be some weird dream. When you wake up you'll still be in your unfurnished apartment and Bakugo won't be standing right in front of you.
Realizing you weren't going to say anything he kept going.
"I didn't realize you told me you liked me back at graduation." He pressed further.
Snapping out of your thoughts you could only look at him with confusion.
"No I remember clearly you gave me such a disgusted look when I told you. You even shouted at me like you couldn't believe what I said."
"I didn't hear you, the commotion around us overpowered your voice. I wasn't looking at you disgusted either, that's just my face and I only shouted because I wanted you to repeat yourself." Bakugo confessed, his eyes and voice revealing nothing but the truth.
"So this whole time I'm the one who misunderstood?" You said pondering all this new information.
"We can call it even and say we both were in the wrong." He said the corner of his lip quirking up. "Well only if you agree to recreate that memory with a better one."
You looked up at him as you heard those words, confused at what he's suggesting.
Holding both of your hands in his, he professed "I've liked you since we were in school and especially now, will you go out with me?"
Your hands started to shake in his grip, you couldn't believe this was happening. After all these years your feelings never left just pushed back as you focused on anything else. But that all came rushing back to you in this moment.
Bakugo started to freak out as your eyes started to water, wiping the stray tear away. "If you don't like me anymore that's okay, just let me be your friend again." He said, your reaction scaring him.
Shaking your head, more tears rushing down your face you pulled him into a hug. "I never stopped liking you dummy." You said as you sniffled into his shirt. "Of course I'll go out with you."
Bakugo couldn't believe it, he was just praying before that you would at most agree to keep in contact with him. But revealing that you still liked him felt gratifying.
He pulled your face back, softly chuckling as you wiped your face clean. Grabbing your chin and pulling you in as you closed your eyes.
"Ok, ma'am that'll be $226.03."
I take my wallet out of my pocket and unfold it. It is empty other than a single moth that lazily flies out. The moth lands on the tap point of the card reader. There's a beat, and my payment is processed. The moth flies back into my wallet and I put it back in my pocket.
katsuki is the type to notice the small things. he will notice what makes you jump, the way ur nose scrunches, everything.
when at the mall with katsuki, mina, sero, denki, and ejirou, katsuki’s eyes only seem to be looking at you. admiring you.
he trails behind the group and watches as you look around at the variety of stores with mina. ejirou is the first to notice his friends fallback.
“bakubro! cmon man catch up!”
you spin around to grab his hand, “ ‘sukiii! come on i wanna go in this one!”
katsuki’s eyes widened at the sudden contact. his face is quickly quickly flushed with red. “what do you think yer doin’ !?” he barked out, trying to pull out of your tight hold.
“we’ll be back guys! i wanna go in here real quick!” you shouted out towards the group, ignoring him completely.
“what the hell don’t ignore me bitch!”
“do you always act so rabid”
a beat passes.
“WHAT???” his reaction makes you burst out laughing. you tug on his hand, leading him into a small shop.
“it’ll be quick ‘suki.”
as you enter that shop, you taking in the cozy aesthetic. jazz music echoes through the speakers, key chains, rings, bracelets, necklaces, charms and more are lined up along the shelves.
katsuki is quick to notice how your eyes sparkle when looking around, as if everything seems to amaze you. he notices how you instinctively head over to the keychains. specifically the matching ones.
“oh my god look how cute this one is!” you pick up a matching white and black cat keychain. “we could match!”
“ew.”
“but you could be the black cat ‘suki!” whining, holding it up to his face.
“no.”
your hand falls down in defeat and places the keychains back. “sorry..”
you and katsuki make your way back to the group. “hey guys!” denki exclaims.
“we’re about to go order some food!” mina says pointing and the food court behind them.
“ooo i could go for some ramen!” you say grabbing mina’s hand.
“see you boys!”
once the girls are out of sight, all the boys rush katsuki.
“sooo what did y’dooo??” sero questions first.
“did you kiss herrrr?” denki gushes, making kissy faces toward ejirou.
“man! ur face got so red when she grabbed ur hand! you like her right?”
katsuki’s face flushed beet red after hearing ejirous questions. “ what the fuck! i don’t like her?!!”
“ooo he’s blushinggg”
he pushes the guys out of his way. “move idiots!”
“where are you going bakugo?” denki asks, trying to catch up with his beloved friend.
“fuck off.”
as katsuki returns, everyone is already with their respective foods. he takes a seat next to ejirou, across from you and places down his spicy ramen. everyone engages into a conversation but everything is muted around katsuki as he thinks about todays events.
katsuki is deep in thought but is quickly removed as your right foot meets his shin. “ow bitch what the fuck?”
“sorry! i was trying to get ur attention!” you say in a loud whisper.
he looks at you for a moment. just a moment. he notices how you smile at him with sorry. he notices a small indent in your left cheek. a dimple. katsuki just found a new thing to admire about you.
he snaps out of his trance, scoffing and rolling his eyes in response. “what do yer what?”
“ i was just gonna ask if your feeling alright? i noticed that you didn’t yell at us as much today…” a sweat drop forms on your forehead, “ errr and you just seemed out of it! so i wanted to check up on you!” you rush out.
katsuki managed to let a small laugh slip out. “ ‘m fine.”
“is everyone finished?” ejirou asks, looking around for the group’s answer.
“yup!”
“you bet!”
“i’m stuffedddd!”
“i don’t think i can move…”
“idiots.”
everyone collectively gathers their items and make their way out. katsuki, however, grabs a hold of ur hand, halting you.
“hm?” you turn back to face katsuki. one hand in yours and the other rubbing the back of his neck.
“open ur hand.”
“huh..?”
“open ur damn hand bitch!”
he shoves something in your hand, then quickly makes his way away from you.
you look down to see a white cat keychain.
“aw… ‘suki..” you whisper. you take in his retrieving figure, and see a small black cat keychain on his bag.
katsuki always notices the small things doesn’t he
A BUSINESS PROPOSAL — the pro-hero, dynamite, is forced on a date with some ceo's daughter. except, it's just you and your best friend doing your absolute best to scare him away.
word count: 2.4k
cw: suggestive, fluff, not proofread
a/n: this has been sitting in my drafts for quite literally a year. i decided to rewatch the drama and omggggg i still love it. i might make a part two bc this was kinda fun to write.
requests
pro-hero, katsuki bakugou, was rapidly climbing the hero ranks the moment he graduated high school. by the time he was 23, he was already one of japan’s top heroes. he had been working his ass off, spending countless hours training and fighting for the dream he had worked for since he was a child, and all of his hard work had finally come to fruition.
unfortunately, there was one thing he didn’t have.
“you need to get a girlfriend, katsuki.”
the blond found himself now trapped in another dreadful conversation with his mother. for the past year, his mother had been pestering him about finding a partner and it made him want to tear his hair out. he groaned as he did his best to tune her out.
“i’m being serious, katsuki,” she pestered, pouring herself a cup of coffee. “we’re both getting older and I want grandbabies.”
“you’re not getting any fucking grandbabies if you keep fucking bothering me about it,” the man huffed. “i don’t know why you care so much about me fucking some chick. it’s creepy.”
mitsuki scoffed. “well, sorry I don’t want to you die alone and unhappy.”
those words still ricocheted in his head as he shuffled through paperwork a few weeks later. die alone, he thought. like hell, I need some woman and kid slowing me down.
there was a soft knock on the door of his office followed by the calm voice of his assistant. “mr. bakugou?”
“open,” he responded, not looking up from the papers.
his assistant walked in, closing the door behind him. “todoroki’s agency wanted to ask how the paperwork is coming along.”
“tell him to leave me alone.”
the still unnamed assistant checked his watch, huffing. “sir—” he leaned forward, the tablet in his hand now curled up near his chest— “have you called your mother at all today?”
katsuki raised his eyes, immediately suspicious. “why?”
“yes or no, sir?”
he sighed. “no, I have not.”
“that explains it,” the assistant muttered, leaning back. “she wanted me to tell you that she-”
“KATSUKI!” like clockwork, mitsuki stormed through the double doors of katsuki’s office. the man swore under his breath. the assistant stood aside as the older woman made her way to her son’s desk. “I have incredible news for you!~”
he place the papers on the desk and pinched the bridge of his nose, anticipating the worst. “oh boy, I wonder what it could be,” he spoke, sarcasm lacing his jaded voice.
“curb your enthusiasm, buddy.” mitsuki stood tall. “the ceo of XXXXX has agreed to a blind date with his daughter!” she did jazz hands to emphasize it.
katsuki froze. “sorry?”
“you’re going on a blind date with the ceo’s daughter.” she did the jazz hands again.
“are you fucking kidding me?!” katsuki began to raise his voice, evidently pissed off. “you went and set up some blind date with a random woman because you want some fucking grandkids!?”
“I fail to see the issue katsuki.”
“well, there’s fucking plenty!”
“listen, and listen well; you’re going to find a woman to settle down with whether you like it or not, katsuki. plus, wouldn’t marrying into a ceo’s family be good for business?”
“this is fucking ridiculous.” the man stood up and was ready to leave. “it’s not happening. i’m busy all this month.”
“not anymore!~” mitsuki had the biggest shit-eating grin the man had ever seen.
katsuki looked over at his assistant, eyebrow cocked. “that’s what I was trying to tell you, sir, before she…” he shifted his gaze to the older woman “…before she walked in.”
“i also had him clear your schedule.” she chimed in.
katsuki huffed, wanting the world to swallow him whole.
~
“another one? did he forget every other date you’ve gone on?”
your friend had invited you to a nice debrief at the cafe you two had been eyeing for a while. being from a wealthy business family, it was common place for her parents to try and marry her off, but your friend would rather eat lead than have anything to do with this.
your friend huffed, crossing her arms as she looked out at the nearby street. “that’s what I’m saying.”
“and you literally have no idea who this dude could be?”
“well, it is a blind date after all.” she looked back at you, hands now on the table. “but he knows I don’t wanna be set up with some dude just because he’s rich. I only plan to marry for love.” she waved her hands in a rainbow motion on the word “love” to really get the point home.
you took a sip from your drink. “your dad, yeah. doesn’t he know we’re just gonna scare him away again?”
she raised her coffee cup to her lip, chuckling a bit. memories of your two’s shenanigans flooding her mind. “should we do that again?”
“is that even a question,” you grinned.
~
you and your friend had planned for you to go on the date instead. you’d be dressed neatly in expensive clothing borrowed from your friend. she gave you a cute makeup look to make you look expensive and a pretty wig with scarily realistic hair.
the plan was simple:
be as unappealing as possible.
you sat down and waited for your friend’s date to show up. as you waited, you did your best to calm your nerves and fix your makeup a bit. after a few minutes of waiting, a deep voice spoke from behind you.
“you XXXX XXXXXXXXX?”
startled, the compact mirror in your hand shook. you turned around and began to shake even more. the man your friend had been set up with, the man you are about to scare off, the man standing in front of you right now was absolutely, unbelievably attractive. what was his name again?
katsuki bakugou.
katsuki saw your eyes widen for a moment and was about to leave, a bit worried that you were the wrong person.
“yes,” you answered, voice a bit meeker than you had hoped. not only was he undeniably attractive, but he looked oddly familiar. was he some kind of model or actor? “take a seat.” you gestured to the seat across from you.
the blond sat down, visibly uninterested. you, on the other hand, were doing your absolute best to calm your nerves, hands trembling a bit as you raised your water glass to your lips. you took a deep breath. you were determined to make this date fail.
thus began tactic number one.
you let out a deep sigh, drawing katsuki’s attention. “it’s warm in here, isn’t it,” you asked smugly, carefully peeling your jacket off. the dress you were wearing underneath was sleeveless and showed off your shoulders and collarbone. it was far from warm in the restaurant you two sat in, but you were without a doubt going to pretend you were burning up.
no one likes a woman that shows too much skin.
katsuki didn’t even bother with a verbal response. instead, he just cocked an eyebrow. he examined you as you practically flaunted your arms and noticed goosebumps painting the exposed skin. “you have goosebumps.”
crap.
you chuckled, fixing your hair. “i just get goosebumps a lot.”
time for the next strategy.
you kicked your foot against the table. you fake winced, saying a sweet “sorry” as you pulled your leg back. your voice then switched to a high-pitched baby voice as you cooed at your expensive heels, gently brushing them. “it’s okay, baby, it’s okay.” you then turned your attention to the equally expensive clutch near you. “oh, did you get scared, baby?” you continued cooing and kissing your clutch.
a woman crazy about luxury goods. how’s that for a turn-off?
you looked away from the clutch and watched as katsuki typed away on his phone.
was your performance not worth watching?
“what are you doing?”
katsuki’s head darted up before he sheepishly tucked his phone away. “a text from work. sorry.”
this won’t do. on to my last resort.
“I’m so sad,” you blurted out.
“what?”
you crossed your arms, huffing. “I’m so sad. you seem so uninterested in me.” you pouted. “it’s making samantha and rachel very sad.”
the blond’s brows furrowed as he took a sip out of his cup. “samantha and rachel?”
you smirked, holding the sides of the table so your chest was open. “the left one is samantha. right is rachel. i spent a wopping half a million a piece on these babies.”
he nearly choked on his water, coughing as he placed it back on the table. you did your absolute best to not break character. you giggled, leaning back in your seat. “i’m rambling, aren’t i?”
one could say this was your best performance. there was no way in hell that he was going to ask for a second date.
—
“HE ASKED FOR A SECOND DATE?!”
you sat with your head in your hands across from your friend. “I did my best, I swear.”
“if you did your best then why am I going on a second date with him,” she asked, practically crushing her cup.
“he was very persistent, in my defense.”
your friend sighed lowly. “jeez, I guess I’ll have to go and scare him away myself.”
“how,” you asked, lazily looking back up her. “he thinks you look like me.”
“well, i don’t want to see him anymore regardless, so him finding out you’re not the real me should only drive him further, yeah?” your friend feigned calmness as she said that, but you could tell that she was thoroughly irritated. you watched as coffee leaked from under her lid and onto her fingers. she was no indeed crushing the cup.
sheepishly you offered, “I’ll buy you a new drink.”
—
“you want to…meet her again?”
katsuki decided to visit izuku on his lunch break. they were in a nearby cafe, casually debriefing about how their days had been going. izuku, like most of katsuki’s friends, had long known of his mother’s desire for her son to get married and have kids. katsuki had told izuku about the date his mom had set him up on, complaining about how that “old hag”, in his words, had no respect for his boundaries and was weirdly obsessed with him getting hitched off. so izuku was very surprised to hear that the dreaded date went well.
“yeah,” he admitted, digging his fork into his pasta. “I mean, she didn’t seem half bad.” he looked back up at izuku, who held a stunned expression. “quit looking at me like that.”
“sorry, I just didn’t expect for it to have gone so well. she must be a real catch.”
katsuki thought back to what you considered a disaster of a date. it had been so long since he’d met such a straightforward woman. you came across as so honest, so genuine. he…liked that about you. and sure, you were pretty and wealthy, but things like that meant nothing to him. he’d be a liar if he said he couldn’t stop thinking about you on the drive back to his apartment. “i guess so.”
suddenly, there was a loud crash outside followed by a scream. the two men perked up, both now looking out the window. a villain attack?
at the sound of another crash, they dove out of the cafe and onto the street to be met with what they expected. what katsuki didn’t expect was to see was a woman that looked suspiciously familiar.
you had somehow ended up in the middle of the crossfire of this low-ranking villain’s attack. if a hero hadn’t saved you just in time, you would’ve gotten seriously hurt. unfortunately, the moment you got a good look at the hero that saved you, you realized why the man your friend was set up with looked so familiar.
you had gone on a date with the top hero, dynamite.
the two of you stared at each other, face inches apart. katsuki examined your face. he could barely believe it. here you were, standing right in front of him, and he had just saved your life. now would be a bad time to ask you on a second date, right?
“you’re the…”
quickly, you backed away and bowed. “t-thank you so much!” you tried to run away, face burning with anxiety, but his large hand instinctually grabbed your wrist.
“wait a second, how the hell did you get yourself caught up in a villain attack?”
“it was an accident, really,” you said as you attempted to wiggle yourself out of his grip.
“y/n, are you okay,” you friend asked, running up to you. she had gotten separated from you when the attack started. however, she halted the moment she saw katsuki right next to you. “oh no..”
katsuki’s brows furrowed. “y/n?” that’s not your name, he thought. his grip loosened just enough for you to release yourself.
your heart was racing. katsuki, decked out in his signature costume, looked at you with the most perplexed expression you had ever seen. you jogged up to your friend, trying to push her away. “XXXX, we should go,” you muttered.
“hey,” katsuki called out. “you just got attacked by a villain.”
“we’re just fine,” you friend responded.
“i was telling her, not you.” he didn’t want to believe it, but the name your friend called you rang through his head like bullets. it couldn’t have been a nickname. it sounded nothing like the name he knew you as. could it really be…
“let me walk you to the police station, y/n. i have a lot to ask you.”
summary : your usually quiet journey home is jostled by rush hour in the subway, luckily you're not alone
pairing : thirdyear!katsuki bakugo x fem!reader
word count : 1k
cw : packed subway, little pushing and stumbling, fluff, subtly caring bakugo, for the plot there's no dorm so everyone go back to their home every night
a/n : I had this idea when I was in the subway being pushed left and right but unfortunately I was alone so I just took it
I have in my note app ideas of one shot and I have so many but I never actually write them but I wanna start being really productive so here's my first bakugo post!!
You hate taking the subway when it's rush hour. I mean what is there to like about it? People are stinky, everyone is pressed against each other and it's like you're ten times more tired than you would usually be after a school day.
Usually you would find the way back to school peaceful, taking a seat by the window and watching the buildings pass by.
But due to a schedule change you finished school during rush hour so now here you were waiting for the subway on a station packed with people all hoping to get on the next train.
Depending on the day and wether he stayed for extra training you would do the way home with Bakugo.
Your parents had decided to move to a bigger house at the end of the second year so you were now living a few blocks away from him.
In the beginning you would just be in the same train not talking to each other, you weren't really close with him, but as weeks passed you initiated small talk (which he wasn't always answering to) and even thought you weren't really spending much time together outside of the walk to school or back home you had found comfort in this routine you had established.
But if usually you could share a quiet discussion with him on the almost silent train, today you had found yourself pressed between the people clinging tightly to the bar hoping not to fall. You had lost Bakugo when the doors opened, taken away by the crowd trying to enter the wagon.
As you were focusing on staying upright, the subway came to a stop arriving at the next station. When the doors opened, people trying to come out were pushing you from every side and as small as you were trying to make yourself bags and elbows came smashing you from everywhere.
Suddenly you felt a strong arm sliding around your waist and a hand tugging at your wrist. Without having the time to understand what was happening you got pulled until you had your back against the opposite door.
"You looked like a rag doll over there", you heard a familiar gruff voice whisper next to your ear.
Looking up you found your face inches away from Bakugo's.
"Bakugo!" you jumped at his proximity (it's not like he had much choice, you thought), realizing his hand was still on you.
Looking down at his hand on your wrist you mumbled a thank you but he was already looking away.
The train then jostled, surprising you, as it left the station, making you lose your balance and gripping at the nearest thing to support you, which was.. Bakugo's chest.
"Sorry I-" you didn't get the chance to finish apologizing before you felt his hands on your waist again holding you against the door on your back. At your position you decided to let your hand grab on his school blazer. However, as time passed and you found yourself getting more and more tired, your eyelids and head growing heavier.
As you struggled to keep your eyes open you felt Bakugo's hand shift from your waist to the back of your neck and gently pushing your head to rest on his chest.
You tried pulling yourself back to tell him that he didn't have to bother but he kept his hand there and you felt his breath against your ear as he whispered :
"Just close your eyes idiot, I'll tell you when it's our stop"
So you did and despite your racing heart and hot cheeks you managed to fall into a half-sleep.
Then you felt a tap on your arm pulling you out of sleep and when you lifted your head Bakugo pointed at the line of all the stations showing that the next station was your stop.
You smiled at him sleepily and rubbed your eyes (I dream of a world where I can rub my eyes without smudging my makeup everywhere pls let me dream) preparing to finally exit the train.
When it came to a stop, his hand had grabbed your wrist again to prevent you from falling, you slipped your hand in his to not lose him again in the crowd of people moving. You felt his hand tense for a second, then relaxing and gently pulling at yours to guide you through the crowd.
You finally both got out of the station and were walking home in a comforting silence and throwing glances at him for you, thinking of his actions in the train. You were far from the short answer and frowning face of the first one sided conversation you had shared.
You lifted your head to look at the ash blond next to you, stopping in front of your house as you faced him while played with your hands.
"So.. I guess I'll see you tomorrow" you said awkwardly, feeling suddenly shy under his gaze.
He eyed you with a frown "Like every morning... what are you on about ??". At your silence he lifted his hand in goodbye and started walking when you suddenly called his name.
Before he got the chance to fully turn back to you, you mumbled a thank you before kissing his cheek and rushing inside of your house without even saying goodbye.
And while you were breathing hard against your door beating yourself up for the stunt you just pulled.
A certain boy was still standing in front of your house hand on his cheek, ears pinks and his heart beating faster than usual…
soo.. i don’t know if i like it. I wrote this at 2 in the morning and just finished it because I fell asleep writing about the reader falling asleep 😐
I hope you like it pls feel free to give feedback and send requests !
