It always makes me happy to see fanwork based on what I’ve made even months later (almost a year!) since the first gifset and despite the slow progress. I can’t be thankful enough for that. :)

Trying to figure out how to color the building’s windows. From now on, I’ll upload the gifs as videos by myself, by the way (figuring out some things about that as well...)

So...I have a Patreon account. https://www.patreon.com/azuresworkshop
At first I wasn’t sure whether to make it known or not save for people who wanted use my work for making money (and thus they’d have an option to give me part of it), but there it is. ˆˆ; For now I’ll be focusing on continuing the AU (while struggling with a tight schedule; working and studying at the same time ain’t easy orz), while I also keep experimenting and figure out what I can give out as commissions.

I’m planning on joining the trend as well and eventually posting reference sheets for Frisk, Asriel, and Chara. I have yet to decide a nickname for Frisk but Chara’s and Asriel’s are Phoenix and Minotaur, respectively (at least in the “You are worth SAVING” A;. in the future I could perhaps come up with other versions just like some people, or perhaps not). As much as I’d like to finish these reference sheets as soon as possible, I’d be spoiling people about how they’d look like when they’re older in the AU.

Well, if genocide didn't happen here, guess that's fair enough. I thought it would be very interesting to see Frisk like... depressed and regretting their homicidal actions, and maybe that would affect Chara and whatnot... eventually leading to Frisk giving up their life to make up for those mistakes, or something similar. These morality issues between them is what I like the most after all, but I can understand if you're not much into it.
I don’t rule out the possibility of an incomplete genocide run (or even several of them) though.

Hi. Um. I saw all your gif sets and videos of the sets and uh... I just want you to stand there for me. Ok? I need you stand still for me there because I'm gonna hug you. I'm gonna hug you tight for these wonderful ideas and stories you've made. Is that ok? Can I hug you?
Oh, sure, go ahead! Thanks a lot! I do want to create my own original content someday and do it well, and thought I could use fanwork as practice (plus I hadn’t contributed to any fandom in a while). I started making this with the idea that I’d probably mess up in a few, if not a lot of things, which is also why I keep track of people’s comments on the Internet; that way I can know what I’m doing right, and what I should improve in.

Come to think of it, how would Frisk change Chara's mind? Supposedly, they, like Flowey, have made everything within their reset capabilities: kill, spare, etc. And keep in mind that, after a genocide run, Chara doesn't just hate humans, they think their "purpose" is to kill everything and everyone by then. So what could happen that leads to this AU's Chara? ...Will we be getting content about that? It would be amazing imo.
A complete genocide run never actually happened. Had it happened, it’d have been the point of no return for Chara, or at least that’s how I see it. (By the way, despite this I don’t mind reading people’s [previous?] theories and fanwork about how this would work as Post-Genocide, especially since this AU started out more as a concept). If you believe in the narrator Chara theory its not too hard to see them having their perspective changed after accompanying a kind human during their entire journey. There’s a video about this by Judgement Boy which I’ll link to below, just in case you haven’t watched it. I don’t agree with it in its entirety, but it’s really good nonetheless.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYHXpdNqdGs

really? It´s like that Paltinium ending.
Oh yeah! I’ve seen that, and thought the Golden/Platinum/Ultimate endings concept was pretty interesting; I even have that saved somewhere. I have been working on this before that pic came out though, and there are AUs with similar concepts but played out differently such as Underswap and Inverted Fate. In the end, this is a very large fandom; similar concepts in Fanworks are bound to happen.

When people insist that I should make Frisk come back in “You are worth SAVING/SAVE Chara”.

AU things.
Frisk won’t be coming back. The “fake death and happy ending” scenario has been way too overused in media. Even as a child I could tell they...
Oh wait, I’ve already mentioned that.
Moving on... I saw an interesting question the other day regarding this AU and thought it’d be worth addressing it.
Asriel did indeed murder all of the monsters (and most likely even did it all over again multiple times just to experiment) because his soulless self made him quickly get bored of everyone, and unlike Chara, this was something that he decided on his own.
So why is Chara taking everything harder?
What Chara did indirectly caused a lot of misfortune in the first place: Asriel dying as well as his transformation into a flower, the Dreemurr family suffering and being torn apart, the despair in the underground... None of which would have happened if Chara hadn’t poisoned themselves.
And still, Asriel did also show regret before, right after regaining his compassion and breaking down in tears, even feeling worthless of forgiveness and acknowledging that he had no justification for his actions:
On the other hand, there was something Asriel didn’t regret anymore:
...Unlike Chara, who still regretted what they did not only during that fateful day, but also before it.
And that’s not to mention the “Chara wasn’t the greatest person” part. Asriel still had at least some respect for Chara since he went to their grave, yes, and I’d like to believe that he was simply saying that Chara wasn’t perfect as some people say...except that right after that he said this:
Do I believe Chara genuinely loved their adoptive parents and sibling? Yes. Do I think that their relationship with Asriel was healthy? Not really, and in my headcanon, that even extends to before the plan.
As you know, most of us agree on the Narrator Chara theory, thus it goes without saying that Chara heard everything Asriel said. We also know of their hatred towards humanity so it’s obvious they didn’t have anyone they were close to before they met the Dreemurrs, and adding to that the possibilities about their mental health, I really don’t think they would take a comment like that well. Who would? Can you imagine being alone and not having anyone you trust, and then the only one that you DID trust in your life saying, without realizing it, to your face, that they’d rather have had another friend in your place? And as you likely noticed, I have already addressed this part in the AU: this of course doesn’t mean Asriel would loathe Chara; I just can’t imagine that happening since he even appreciates them as Flowey, which is saying something, but I do think Asriel did greatly dislike a lot of things Chara did, especially in hindsight.
And speaking of what he thinks about Chara, yes, he still wishes he could have taken back that comment much sooner. He not only felt guilty because sacrifices had to be made to SAVE him, but because he made Chara feel even worse. As a result, Asriel doesn’t want to add more to Chara’s guilt by making his own guilt evident, and is well aware of their grief and the fact that Frisk was the one who made them change their mind about humanity.
It’s all a mess, I know.
tl;dr: Asriel is also remorseful, but he’s being strong for Chara’s sake.
To whoever made this observation: If you’re reading this, thanks for commenting! I actually enjoyed answering. :)
Though, still, these events will affect Asriel more in the long-run, but I can’t tell any concrete details since I’d be spoiling my own AU.
By the way! Here’s also a tiny sneak peek of a sprite that I’m working on for the next part:
