What hobbies/side interests do you think naven and yoomtah have?

Ooh!

Lots of crafts! Yoomtah loves trying new things so I’m sure they often make a day of trying something completely new.

Yoomtah also loves roller-skating. Naven isn’t so great at it, but he’s happy to come along.

They like going to the beach when it’s cool out and not busy… and picking up fun shells to keep.

They definitely play Minecraft

Cooking, baking, making food!

Naven likes writing poems and short stories.

do you have any headcanons for Naven and Yoomtah?

Quite a few! Many of them are spoilers, but here’s some random ones that aren’t:

They both play games together like Pokémon and Minecraft. Many think Naven hardly knows anything about games, but he’s actually not bad! Yoom is definitely still more of the “gamer”. She’d stream an insane FPS game every now and then, and has incredible amounts of gacha games on her phone. She keeps track of all of them!

When it comes to grabbing a coffee, Yoom likes to order something new and complex from any secret menu available. Baristas fear her. Naven’s order is short. Always some average variant of: Latte or Cappuccino with milk, no sugar.

Naven loves listening to Yoom talk during the day, and also enjoys being intentionally talked to sleep.

Based on a specific conversation: Yoomtah would fake-kidnap Naven to bring him to a surprise. It’s all fun and games with a fake “Oh no, I’m so scared!” Until she actually puts him in the trunk.

Yoomtah modifies her voice when mocking people.

Yoomtah can crush a metal can in her fist. She has popped open a can of preserved fruit and drank the juice from the hole in the can. Don’t limit this to fruit juice, because this has happened with baked beans.

Yoomtah doesn’t always feel it when Naven lightly kicks her foot under the table to get her attention. One time she noticed, but instead of looking at the person he was trying to show her, she kicked back. HARD.

Have you ever rubbed someone’s head with a balloon? Their hair stands up all funny. Yoomtah doesn’t need the balloon.

My money has generally been on 7th. I suppose we’ll likely find out for sure in a few days!

Hello! So I saw your autistic headcanons and I wholeheartedly agree! How would Naven feel if a student (autistic or not) was kind of shy around him at first? Like if they had a question to ask him they wouldn't ask him in fear of being seen as stupid, or they would rarely speak to him in general (that was me as a kid)

I’m glad you enjoy it!

As for your ask: I think he would completely understand and never pressure them, yet gently work with them in ways that will kindle growth in the area of learning to feel better and more comfortable interacting with new people, or someone that might seem frightening (in this case for a child, maybe adults in general?)

Living in a world where speaking up is important, it’s good to help grow those kinds of communication skills when you can. Being shy is a completely normal personality trait! Yet, in a society where sometimes you need to stand up for yourself, ask questions or interact with strangers, it’s good to have useful tools in your basket for when you need them.

That’s the kind of gentle initiative I think he’d take for a student that’s having difficulty speaking to new people out of fear.

Hello! Sorry for my absence, I've been going through a rough time, people being mean and it might cause me to lose Naven as my favorite character. Let's just say some toxic poll experiences literally made my mental health worse

I’m not sure which anon you are, but I’m glad you’re back.

Throughout my life I’ve also had people bully me about the things that I like. It’s very difficult, but giving up your joys will only let them win.

I hope things go better for you very soon. Don’t let go of the things that make you happy because of the judgement of others! Their bad energy is wet and sticky on their hands, and they try so hard to wipe it off on everyone around them.

Here's some headcanons I thought of on the spot:

To me, Naven is not a bad singer. Yoomtah however, uses autotune to help her voice sounds at least decent.

Naven's favorite color is green. Most (but not all) of his wardrobe is mostly green. Yoomtah's favorite color is pink

1. As someone who has heard clips of Jello singing in his voice, you are correct. Personally I think Yoom would be able to sing well on her own, but uses her modified voicebox to be silly or hit extreme notes. Think of that one meme edit of Mariah Carey’s “All I want for Christmas is You”

2. I think Yoom has an infinite amount of favorite colors, but absolutely identifies with pink the most!

Hello! I want your advice. There's an artist that I want to commission, but I'm afraid that they might steal my OCs. I asked them if they can keep the final picture private and they said yes. Do I send them the watermarked version, just to be safe? I'm just having some anxiety over it. Sorry for bothering you

Especially if this is your first time commissioning someone, I understand the nerves.

The artist is likely nervous as well. Most artists who do commissions are actually nervous that their commissioner will cheat them out of payment! (Not that you would) It’s just a deal between both of you that will take lots of trust.

I have never personally heard of a situation where a commissioning artist would steal a character, but I have some suggestions for you to combat any possibility of that happening, if it would help ease you!

My suggestions:

- Publicly post pictures of your character before commissioning the artist. In the rare situation that they claim your character is their own, you will have solid, public, and time-stamped proof that this is not the case.

- Yes! Feel free to send the watermarked versions of your character as references. As long as the artist can see what your character looks like, that’s all they need!

- Keep records of your conversation. Should anything suspicious happen and they delete messages of any agreements, you will still hold proof of what has been said and agreed upon.

Hello! Since Naven's birthday is a month away (April 11th) here's some of my headcanons for Naven's birthday (+Rick):

Naven does not seem like the type to have a grand celebration. Just having a day off and spending time with his wife (or any other day really) would make it the best day ever.

Yoomtah would try to make Naven some apple themed treats (apple pies, apple crisps, etc.) if she hasn't tried any, Naven would want her to try some ("Well, I can't eat all off this by myself. Care to have some?") she would probably make key lime pie as a joke.

Rick would definitely help Yoomtah create the perfect day for Naven.

2. Yes! I also think it might expand past apples. Lots of fruits. Raspberry pastries and plates of fresh oranges and blackberries. Fresh cherry cocktails for the night!! Like you said, nothing huge, just a nice plate of treats and maybe a fireside chat with a circle of friends.

He might almost go overboard in terms of Naven’s birthday, (since Rick gets so excited), but Yoom would probably explain to him that it’s a little much and he doesn’t need to plan a huge extravaganza or anything.

Let's say that there's a huge presentation happening today:

Naven is the type of speaker that if you tell him to speak louder, his "louder" is not a huge a difference.

Yoomtah on the other hand, would be by Naven's side as a body guard, amplifier/megaphone for Naven, his plus one, and the one that goes "Everybody chill!" when people are talking when there's not supposed to be talking. Of course she's also is chauffeur. (this girl could do it all)

Rick is the one that has 0 clue what is anyone talking about. He's just standing there smiling looking around, asking questions like, "Mr. Naven, what is this green thing that's sitting there?" "Mr. Shades, that is a plant." "Oh how wonderful! It's very pretty!"

General disclaimer: These are personal opinions!

1. I actually think he’d be a great speaker! Lots of time training and actively standing in front of the media will do that to you, and CEO-things will get you lots of that public media time. This bleeds over into general conversation and also improves regular chatting skills! The anxiety hits alone when the mask comes off.

2. This I still completely agree with!

3. I personally think he’d know about plants, but probably not something like a Xerox machine.

He’d try to look inside and get frightened when it spits out 100 copies of his distorted face.

He’d also absolutely ask questions similar to the one you wrote about things he never saw while locked away.

Naven would 100% rock a suit. It might not be his preferred choice, but when the time calls for it, he would wear it. Pine green suit with a black dress shirt.
