The sun rose this morning at 5:47 AM. I managed to get a t-shirt on (both inside out and backwards mind you) as I stumbled out of bed at 5:33. Having the lights on while I eat my cereal and feed the cat is just weird. And tonight I had to rake up a bunch of dead leaves from our side yard. Granted, said leaves fell from a tree that is always spewing something on our driveway/sidewalk/entire front yard/entry stoop. Is fall starting or something?! Seriously. Tomorrow starts August. I haven't been to a farmers market on the square yet and I'm not nearly as lean as I swore I'd get from "all the running I do in the summer." Seems like I've been waiting for months now and the times just been dripping by so slowly. I realize now how fast it's really been going. Without me. Just need to start keeping up.

I'm baaack :)
I'm going to try to start posting on here again... there is something therapeutic about boiling down your thoughts into actual sentences and arranging those sentences into something meaningful. And being able to take a step back and read it and try to make sense of it all, or at least try to discern some direction.
I'm not lost. Just wandering.

Impending Nuptials
So.
Tomorrow I'm getting married!
Nine months really have a way of creeping slowly by until you least expect them to hurry up and end. Being engaged to Mike has really been wonderful. I feel like we've gotten to a home-y place in our relationship and have certainly grown up a bit in how we deal with the every day, 9-to-5 type of schedule and have gotten better and wrapping our "dating" life around it. He's there when I need him, gives me my space when I need it, and pries with questions when I say I'm OK but he knows I'm not. This is the guy I get to marry - the gentlest, happiest, funniest, most loving guy I know. :D Miracles happen.
