On March 31, 2022, we woke up in lovely San Francisco and got coffee and a croissant and a chocolate donut across the street at a cute coffee shop.
After we got coffee we went back to the hotel and brought our bags downstairs.
We then went to walk around before our flight. We went to 54 mint and got rosé. We thought the rosé was going to be $13. The server asked if we wanted sparking or still. We asked for sparkling and the rosé was an extra $5 😱
After we finished there we walked to the park that has a Martin Luther king jr waterfall. We sat in the grass and drank champagne out of Allison’s reusable water bottle.
Then we walked back to the hotel and got our bags and got into the Uber and went to San Francisco airport. We got there 3 hours early. We decided to sit in a restaurant before we took off. Everything was super expensive so we just ordered fries and .5 liter Sauvignon blanc from the tap. Our waitress Lucy put a hair in our fries. We told them to take it back. They took the charge off our bill.
We then boarded our flight and we were on our way. We flew from sfo to Istanbul to Budapest. We had to run through the Istanbul airport so we did not miss our flight to Budapest.
When we got to Budapest it was April 1st we took a bus to the hotel. We showered and walked through the town and got pizza. We went back to the room and made hot chocolate downstairs and had champagne from the mini bar!

March 30th was my last day of work before taking off to Sf for our big European adventure!
I drove to Allison’s parents house in Walnut Creek and her mom took me to the Bart station.
I rode the Bart train for about 30 minutes and Allison met me at 7th and market on the civic center exit.
We crossed by some kind men having a key club meeting. They let us walk by.
Allison was so sweet to carry my 55 pound bag and lug it through Sf.
We got to the hotel and the man at the front carried my bag up three flights of stairs.
We then left the hotel to get thai food at a restaurant called basil. Very good food and service. They refilled our water cups every 2 seconds. I had pad Thai wine and some cold sake.
Then we went to a bar called Bloodhound. Allison was telling me about all the languages she learned in preparation for our trip.
Then we went back to the hotel and watched Rick and morty. It was my first time watching it. I would give it a 5/10. We went to sleep.
