Update:

i dont know how many people actually look at this account for updates but i figured i should let people know where i am in the writing process and reassure that despite my mini hiatus, im not going anywhere.

basically i got overwhelmed with ideas all at once! i’ve actually been writing the next three chapters simultaneously!

first: chapter 15 which will include explanations of percy’s backstory and hopefully some specific reactions and plot developments that you all have been waiting for! i know some people dont like reaction chapters so i have been really trying to find a good balance to explain why percy is important while also keeping it tied to the plot.

second: chapter 16 which is a “present” chapter! i dont want to spoil too much but lets just say there is fluff between characters no one will expect. oh and the beginning of plans to try and get apollo and percy back of course!

third: chapter 17, which is the main culprit of why there has been no update as i have tried navigating incorporating it to my original idea in the smoothest way possible. this chapter quite literally came to me in a dream (which is ironic for reasons you dont know yet) this chapter is unlike anything this fic has included before but it is my favorite by far. i dont want to spoil it but lets just say its probably going to mess with your brains!

Now as an apology for taking so damn long, here is a little snippet from chapter 15… enjoy!

Artemis looked to her father and raised her hand slightly, waiting for his nod to speak, “As much as I loathe to admit it, I do not understand this prophecy. I must ask if anyone here can make sense of it?”

“I won’t pretend to be a god of words or prophecies, but I think it said the demigod is dying,” Ares said unsure.

“He can’t be,” Apollo immediately shot Ares down.

Athena furrowed her brow, “I think we all understand that you have a responsibility to watch over the boy, but Apollo, you must know better than anyone that mortals die, especially ones that already look halfway there..”

“No, Apollo’s right, Percy can’t die,” Dionysus spoke up.
