When I was in IOP, a woman pointed something out that’s stuck with me and oftentimes saved me from making disordered decisions: 

With an eating disorder, you have four choices: recover, cycle through treatment for the rest of your life, live half of a miserable life in quasi, or die.  

That’s it. Those are the four possible ways your life could go. To me, the only one that sounds even remotely appealing is the first option.
