did a bunch of toriyama style studies today using Monster Hunter monsters as a base,

I found one of these bad boys (oval version) still in the carton at the local second-hand shop

If you think having black octagonal dishes made of tempered glass (that were incidentally used in a few episodes of TNG and on season 4 of DS9, including "Rejoined") would be pretty cool, searching for "arcoroc octime" will probably yield results. It seems to have been a fairly popular dish set in the 80s, at least here in Europe.

You might also find the octagonal glasses that belonged to this set and that also appeared on a couple of episodes of TNG and DS9 (and were referenced on Lower Decks, see here for a list)

I honestly love using this set, even besides the Trek connection. It has definitely a vintage vibe but the octagonal shape is pretty unique, and it always makes an impression when I have people over.

By the way, I definitely recommend checking out star-trek.design, looking through the various eras of Trek set design is an interesting excursus in both what was available over the decades in regular shops that looked 'far out' enough to create the illusion of the 24th century and also an impressive catalogue of more 'experimental' design.
